Pune: The Bharat Drone Association, India’s largest drone industry body with over 400 members spanning drone manufacturers, service providers, RPTOs, AI & ML startups, and more, has been appointed as the ‘Technology Partner’ for the upcoming Amaravati Drone Summit 2024.

The summit, organized by the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation (APDC), is scheduled for October 22-23, 2024, in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.

A flagship event organized by APDC under the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Infrastructure and Investment Department, the Amaravati Drone Summit aims to establish the state as a leading hub for Drone System Design and Manufacturing (DSDM) and Drone Enabled Technology and Services (DeTS).

This national-level platform will bring together key stakeholders from across the drone industry, including government officials, industry experts, and innovators, to explore the future of drones in India.

As the Technology Partner, the Bharat Drone Association will play a pivotal role in contributing its expertise to the summit’s success, driving discussions on UAV innovation, and fostering a sustainable drone ecosystem in the country.

Major Ganesan, President of the Bharat Drone Association and retired Indian Army ex-serviceman, said, “We are honored to partner with the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation for the Amaravati Drone Summit 2024.

Our shared vision for advancing the UAV industry in India and leveraging drone technology to address societal and industrial challenges is key to this collaboration. The summit offers a unique opportunity to showcase cutting-edge solutions and promote dialogue among industry leaders.”

The Bharat Drone Association has been actively involved in advancing the drone industry, previously organizing the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign with former Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in August 2023.

The association has also been instrumental in influencing government drone policies, which led to initiatives like the PLI Scheme, Drone Loan Programs, SMAM Subsidies, and the Namo Drone Didi Scheme.
