Built on the philosophy of 'Make in India, Make for the World', Nissan India has unveiled its B-SUV, the all-new Nissan Magnite. This is the company's first-ever product under the Nissan NEXT strategy for the Indian market, scheduled to be introduced in the second half of FY 2020-21.

The all-new Nissan Magnite was unveiled to the global audience via a virtual event. Key spokespersons from Nissan's leadership teams in Africa, the Middle East, and India (AMI), presented the live-streamed event.

"The all-new Nissan Magnite plays a vital role in our Nissan NEXT strategy and represents Nissan's undeniable commitment to the Indian market as a customer-centric organisation. The car reiterates our brand philosophy of keeping customers at the heart of everything we do to deliver exciting products for enriching experiences. As we continue to prioritise and invest in the Indian consumer, who is aspirational and discerning with vehicles, we aim for the all-new Nissan Magnite to be the first product that will enable sustainable growth. Nissan will continue to be the primary brand in India."
Sinan Ozkok, President, Nissan Motor India.

It has been a very difficult journey for Nissan to survive in the Indian market in the last few years. Nissan has a limited number of cars in India, but, it has seen potential in the Indian automobile sector and is all set to make a come back with high hopes.

Nissan will be launching the Magnite in India and later to the rest of the world. Magnite is amongst the eight models that Nissan is going to introduce in the Indian market in the coming year.

The Nissan Magnite will be available in nine body colours, five monotone and four dual-tone. The new addition to this segment of cars will be Nissan's new Flare Garnet Red (Tint-Coat) Colour

Magnite will be competing against the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and other cars of the same segment. It comes equipped with a 7-inch TFT meter, tyre pressure monitoring system, 8-inch infotainment touchscreen display, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and built-in voice recognition. It also comes with Nissan's innovative technology, Nissan Connect, that offers 50+ features (geofence, roadside assistance, smartwatch connectivity etc.).

The Magnite is all set to give a tough run for the money to Hyundai and Kia.

Nissan India has unveiled its B-SUV, the all-new Nissan Magnite.
"Given the growing popularity of B-SUVs in India, we aim for the all-new Nissan Magnite to redefine the segment and surpass customer expectations in the country. It is the ideal aspirational upgrade for hatchback customers in India who are weighing their options and looking to own a world-class SUV, from a globally renowned brand that has a strong SUV heritage."
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.

With the Magnite, Nissan has introduced HRA0 1.0-litre Turbo engine. The HRA0 1.0-liter Turbo engine adopts "mirror bore cylinder coating" technology from its signature sports cars, the Nissan GT-R. According to Nissan, this will help in reducing resistance inside the engine, thus delivering smooth acceleration and efficient use of fuel.

Nissan is a niche brand in India and will therefore take time to build a strong foothold in the Indian automotive sector. Just increasing manufacturing won't help Nissan much. Now that they are planning to launch eight new models in the market, it should focus on improving its after-sales services.
