RAMP: Comprehensive Competitiveness Workshop for MSMEs organized in Pune

Workshop raised awareness on MSME Ministry initiatives including existing schemes and new initiatives launched under RAMP Programme.

Pune: The Ministry of MSME inaugurated 'Comprehensive Competitiveness Workshop' under the World Bank supported 'Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance' (RAMP Programme), the first amongst a series of workshops planned for raising awareness amongst MSMEs to catalyse their growth and competitiveness on July 19 in Pune.

The workshop aims to raise the awareness about various initiatives of the Ministry of MSME which include the existing schemes of the Ministry as well as the new initiatives launched under the RAMP Programme.

The MSME Champions Scheme (ZED, Lean and MSME Innovative), National SC/ST Hub Scheme etc. The MSMEs were provided awareness about the RAMP Schemes as well which include - Scheme on Online Dispute Resolution for Delayed Payments, MSE Green Investment and Financing for Transformation (MSE GIFT), MSE Scheme for Promotion and Investment in Circular Economy (MSE SPICE), MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative, Udyami Bharat Portal and other efforts supported under RAMP like TReDS and ESG etc.

The event was addressed by Ateesh Kumar Singh (Joint Secretary, MoMSME), Vinamra Mishra (Director, MoMSME), Chandrakant Pulkundwar (Divisional Commissioner, Pune), Palash Srivastava (CEO – IIFCL Projects Ltd.), Prashant Girbane (Director General – MCCIA), T. Koshy (CEO & MD – ONDC), Mukesh Chandra Upadhyay (GM – Bank of Maharashtra), and others.

Ateesh Kumar Singh emphasized upon the changing landscape of the MSME ecosystem and the Ministry’s initiatives for providing support to MSMEs through digital and technological solutions for increasing access to credit, market, technology, addressing the issue of delayed payments and greening of MSMEs.

Rajendra Nimbalkar, Managing Director, MSSIDC appreciated the efforts taken by the Ministry of MSME under RAMP Programme and the support provided to MSMEs in Maharashtra.

Subranshu Acharya (Chairman & MD - NSIC emphasized the need for creating marketing linkages for the MSMEs. T. Koshy addressed the gathering about the MSME TEAM Initiative and how it can enhance access to digital market for MSMEs through ONDC.

Palash Srivastava, CEO IIFCL Projects Limited addressed the participants about the initiatives of the Ministry under the RAMP Programme for accelerating the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs.
