The compassionate prince

Amrita Prasad

Prince Harry is just like his mom. Warm, amicable and full of compassion, he’s got  Princess Diana’s traits. The Duke of Sussex, who is married to Meghan Markle and is a new father, has been lauded for expressing his concerns over the environment and racism prevailing in the world.

The British Prince was appreciated on social media after excerpts from his interview with famed ethologist Dr Jane Goodall for British Vogue’s September issue were posted online. Prince Harry in his interview talked about ‘unconscious bias’ and its links with racism. He also said that he and Meghan will only have two children because of his fears for the environment. Harry suggested that too many people do not understand their own biases and how ‘stigma is handed down from generation to generation’.

He also revealed that when it comes to having more children, he wants ‘two, maximum’ as a little step towards doing their bit to stop climate change. Having a child affected his perspective on conservation. Harry added. “I think, weirdly, because of the people that I’ve met and the places that I’ve been fortunate enough to go to, I’ve always had a connection and a love for nature. I view it differently now, without question,” he explained.

His honest answers and beautiful view of the world is winning hearts on the internet.
