Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5, one of the most successful seasons to date, broke TRP records and became the talk of the town.

Viewers were glued to their screens, watching the intense fights, dramatic love stories, and the intriguing tasks Bigg Boss assigned to the contestants. However, despite its roaring success, the season was cut short, ending in just 70 days instead of the typical 100-day run.

This decision surprised many fans who were left wondering why the season concluded earlier than expected.

Kedar Shinde, Colors Marathi's programming head, recently addressed this in an interview. When asked why Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5 was only 70 days long, Shinde revealed that the decision was made at the management level.

"I work in a corporate environment, and certain decisions are taken after considering the impact on the entire network," Shinde explained. He also added that leaving viewers wanting more is often beneficial, noting that "a bit of suspense is always good."

In addition to the shortened season, another hot topic of discussion was Aarya Jadhao’s eviction after she slapped fellow contestant Nikki Tamboli. This incident shocked the audience, and many questioned whether the decision to directly evict Aarya was too harsh.

Addressing these concerns, Kedar Shinde stated, “Bigg Boss has clear rules: while you can argue, accuse, or even push someone, physical violence is strictly prohibited.

If Aarya hadn’t been evicted for breaking this rule, it would have set a bad precedent for the other contestants. The house could have turned into chaos.”

"We took three days to thoroughly review the situation and all the rules before arriving at the decision to evict Aarya," he said, emphasizing that the show's rules apply equally to all contestants, no matter the circumstances.
