Cardi B reviews Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s 'The White Tiger'; Calls her “amazing” in a Tweet

Cardi B is not the only one who gave a shout-out to the film; Priyanka’s father-in-law, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. also took to Instagram and encouraged the fans to “go see this powerful movie.”

After father-in-law Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr., Cardi B took to Twitter to laud actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s new Netflix film, ‘The White Tiger.’ The rapper was moved to tears by the film released on January 22. Also starring actors Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav, the movie is directed by Ramin Bahrani.

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter shared in a tweet, “White Tiger is such a great movie. I was crying and angry while watching it.” A few hours later, Priyanka replied, “So happy you enjoyed it.” Cardi B, among the most influential female rappers of all time, shot to fame with the hit single Bodak Yellow.

The Grammy-winning musician is not the only one who has given a shout-out to the film; Priyanka’s father-in-law, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. also took to Instagram and encouraged the fans to “go see this powerful movie.” He also replied to one of Priyanka's Instagram posts, saying, "Amazing performance. Your portrayal of Pinky was heartbreaking and inspiring. Love you".

Among others who replied to the same post, by Priyanka on her character Pinky in the movie, was Mindy Kaling. In a reply to Priyanka's post, Mindy said, "Loved it! Such a great story and beautifully written".

Celebrating the success of her film, Priyanka posted an Instagram late on Sunday, and said, “Ending opening weekend with a full heart. I'm blown away by the love for #TheWhiteTiger's release on @netflix this weekend. Your support in watching this film has made it trend globally in the top 10 in less than 48 hours + counting. Thank you to every one of you who watched, posted, shared amazing reviews, and held space for this incredible cast & crew.”

Thanking the cast, she added, “I’m so emotional seeing such an amazing response globally to a movie with an all INDIAN star cast! Films lead by visionaries challenge us and light fires in our collective souls. Thank you #AravindAdiga #RaminBahrani @mukul.deora @ava @netflix and all the amazingly talented players that made this movie possible and accessible to all.
