Marathi television landscape is currently witnessing a fierce TRP war, with leading channels constantly vying for the top spot. Over the last few months, this rivalry has intensified between three major channels—Colors Marathi, Zee Marathi, and Star Pravah.

The competition has driven these networks to introduce new content and innovate their programming strategies, resulting in some surprising developments.

One of the most notable shifts came after Kedar Shinde, the renowned filmmaker, took over as the Creative Head of Colors Marathi.

Under his leadership, the channel has undergone significant changes that have boosted its standing in the TRP rankings.

The latest achievement for the channel is the runaway success of Bigg Boss Marathi 5, which has become the highest-rated non-fiction show on television.

In a major blow to Zee Marathi, which has long been a dominant force in Marathi entertainment, Colors Marathi has overtaken its competitor in the latest TRP ratings.

In the current rankings, Star Pravah holds the top spot, with Colors Marathi climbing to second place. Sony SAB is in third, while Zee Marathi has slipped to fourth—down from its previous second-place position.

This major shift is largely due to the success of Bigg Boss Marathi 5, which has garnered massive viewership.

The show has struck a chord with audiences, delivering a high dose of drama, entertainment, and intrigue.

The fifth season has seen a remarkable jump in TRP ratings, which has propelled Colors Marathi ahead in the competitive race.

Not only has Bigg Boss Marathi 5 helped Colors climb the TRP ladder, but it has also broken its own previous records.

The show’s earlier seasons had already set a high bar, with Bigg Boss Marathi 4 securing a 4-point rating, making it the top-rated non-fiction program at the time. But the fifth season has taken it a step further, achieving an unprecedented 5-point rating.

This makes Bigg Boss Marathi 5 the first non-fiction show in Marathi television history to achieve such a high TRP rating, solidifying its status as a crowd favorite.

The show’s drama-filled episodes, emotional twists, and compelling content have clearly resonated with viewers, helping it reach new heights.

However, with the current season of Bigg Boss Marathi coming to a close, the question remains: Can Colors Marathi sustain its lead in the TRP race?
