The shoot of the much-anticipated “Friends” reunion special episode is all set to begin from next week, April 5, reported Variety. The special episode had been slated to film last year in March. However, the shooting got delayed multiple times amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
All six original cast members - Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer – will feature in the special episode.
Actor David Schwimmer confirmed on The Graham Norton Show that the episode will be unscripted and all sex members will play themselves instead of replicating their characters. Schwimmer also hinted at a surprise segment in the special episode.
The actor, who played Ross Geller, also revealed that he is going to meet the other cast member after ‘many years'. “I will be getting on a plane soon and shooting for Friends Reunion next week. I am going to see everyone next week for the first time in many years.” he said.
According to the Variety report, each of six stars is reportedly getting paid $2.5 million for shooting the special episode. The reunion episode will be shot at the iconic Stage 24 of the Warner Bros Studio lot in Burbank, the same place where the original show was filmed.
The popular series “Friends” went on air in 1994 and ran for a successful 10 years. Its last episode was aired in 2004.
