Marathi cinema’s rising star Amey Wagh is all set to entertain audiences with his latest venture, ‘Like Aani Subscribe’, which also stars the talented actress Amruta Khanvilkar.

However, one of the most talked-about aspects of the film is the inclusion of dancer Gautami Patil in the item number “Limbu Firvala”. With a massive fan following across Maharashtra, Gautami’s participation in the movie is expected to create significant buzz.

Amey Wagh recently shared insights into why the filmmakers decided to cast Gautami in the film.

At the trailer launch of ‘Like Aani Subscribe’, Amey explained the strategic decision behind bringing Gautami on board.

“For the scene in the movie, there couldn’t have been a better choice than Gautami Patil. She has a massive fan base, ranging from kids to adults, and the sheer popularity she enjoys is undeniable,” said Amey.

He went on to describe the unique charm of Gautami’s live performances, stating, “Her shows are so crowded that people can be seen sitting on trees and roofs just to get a glimpse of her performance.

We realized that the same audience that flocks to her shows may not typically watch Marathi films, so we thought – why not bring her in and attract them to the theaters?”

Wagh added a humorous note, “We expect crowds like the ones at her shows, and I’ll make sure we have arrangements for rooftops and trees near the theaters too, selling tickets for those spots! But on a serious note, we hope everyone will come to the cinema to watch ‘Like Aani Subscribe’.”

The trailer for the film was recently launched, giving viewers a glimpse of this mystery-thriller, which promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Scheduled for release on October 18th, ‘Like Aani Subscribe’ is a collaboration between Nitin Vaidya Productions, S.N. Productions LLP, and Abhishek Merukar Productions. Directed and written by Abhishek Merukar, the film features a talented cast, including Amey Wagh, Amruta Khanvilkar, Jui Bhagwat, Shubhankar Tawde, and Vitthal Kale.
