Pandian Stores actress Chithra dies by suicide in Chennai

In what has come as a dreadful news Tamil TV actress VJ Chithra died by suicide on Wednesday. Known for playing the role of Mullai in the popular show Pandian Stores, the 28-year-old was found hanging at a five-star hotel, according to media reports. It is said that VJ Chithra had finished shooting at film city and had returned to her hotel room at 2:30 am on Tuesday. According to reports, she was staying with her fiance, businessman Hemanth, to whom she got engaged recently.

VJ Chithra has worked as a presenter on various TV channels in the Tamil industry. She was currently seen in Pandian Stores series. Apart from her performance there, she also had a huge fan following for her Instagram photographs and had more than 1.5 million followers. It is to be noted that she had even shared photographs of her recent shoot just 12 hours before the news of her suicide came up.

According to sources, it is said that VJ Chithra has committed suicide amid depression. Her death has left her fans in despair.
