The 'Most Wanted Bhai', Salman Khan delivers his promise of an Eid release this year, confirms 'Radhe's' release date on Twitter!

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had declared in January that his much-awaited film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will release in theatres on Eid 2021. Standing by his commitment (you know, because ‘Ek baar jo bhai ne commitment kar di, toh phir woh khudki bhi nahi sunte’), on Saturday morning he confirmed the date of his movie’s release – May 13, 2021.

Sharing the poster on his social media accounts, the actor wrote, “Eid ka commitment tha, Eid par hi aayenge kyun ki ek baar jo maine… #RadheOn13thMay #2MonthsToRadhe.” The new poster has Salman holding a gun and skilfully taking an aim, while the backdrop has burning helicopters that gives an action appeal to the film.

Salman Khan is famously known for releasing his movies on the occasion of Eid. The long list of his Eid-release includes Ek Tha Tiger, Bodyguard, Dabbang, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, among others.

'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' to be screened only in theatres

After the announcement of his film, back in January, the exhibitors' associations across India requested him for a theatrical release of the film. Salman replied to the exhibitors and shared the news on Twitter, "Sorry it has taken me a long time to revert to all the theatre owners... It's a big decision to make during these times. I understand the financial problems that the theatre owners/exhibitors are going through and I would like to help them by releasing 'Radhe' in theatres."

"In return, I would expect them to take utmost amount of care and precautions for the audience who would come to the theatre to watch 'Radhe'. The commitment was of EID and it will be Eid 2021 inshallah. Enjoy Radhe this year in theatres on Eid.. God willing..", he added.

The team

Directed by Prabhudeva, the movie also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Zarina Wahab and Randeep Hooda. The film has been co-produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Atul Agnihotri.

The Dabbang actor finished the shoot of the movie after COVID-19 induced lockdown lifted. The movie is supposed to be a remake of the South Korean film Veteran and also considered to be a sequel to the Bollywood film, Wanted. Salman launched a teaser of Radhe when he released Dabbang 3 trailer last year.
