The Marathi music scene is buzzing with new hits, and one song that has captured the hearts of listeners is “Tambdi Chamdi Chamakte Unnat.” Released recently, this catchy number has quickly climbed the charts, thanks to the creative minds of Krunal Ghorpade, popularly known as Kratex, and lyricist Shreyas Sagvekar.

In a candid interview with the YouTube channel Kalakatta, Krunal and Shreyas revealed the intriguing backstory of how “Tambdi Chamdi” came into existence.

Shreyas recalled a moment of inspiration while driving under the sun when he felt his skin getting scorched. “I penned down a line that resonated with that experience: ‘Tari chehryavarti tej ugatya suryagat tambdi chamdi gadi varti bhajat firte ughadyavar.’ It perfectly encapsulated that moment,” he explained.

Krunal, who composed the music for the track, shared that the beat for this song was originally intended for another project.

“We hadn’t planned to create this song. The beat was for an actor, but due to scheduling conflicts, it fell through. I sent it to Shreyas, asking him to incorporate some Marathi elements,” he said.

He further noted, “At first, I was unsure if the words ‘Tambdi Chamdi’ would resonate with the audience. But Shreyas encouraged me, saying we could craft our own meaning around them.”

Shreyas, reflecting on the growing popularity of his lyrics, expressed his joy at the connection his writing has with the audience. “It’s a gratifying feeling to see your words resonate with people,” he said.

With the dynamic duo of Shreyas and Krunal behind it, “Tambdi Chamdi” is sure to keep listeners dancing and singing along, solidifying its place in the hearts of Marathi music fans.
