Soul-Stirring Title Song ‘Nag Thambu Re’ from Priyanka Chopra's ‘Paani’ Released

The much-anticipated National Award-winning Marathi film Paani, directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is all set to release on October 18.

With the teaser already generating a buzz among the audience, the makers have now unveiled the powerful title track, “Nag Thambu Re,” which has quickly won the hearts of listeners.

The film, which narrates the inspiring story of a water warrior from the drought-prone region of Marathwada, comes with an emotionally charged title track that stands as a beacon of hope.

Produced by Rajshri Entertainment and Purple Pebble Pictures in collaboration with Kothare Vision Pvt. Ltd., the title song "Nag Thambu Re" is an anthem of resilience and determination.

Penned by the film’s director, Adinath Kothare, and composed by Gulraj Singh, the song is brought to life by the exceptional voice of Shankar Mahadevan.

The lyrics are not only motivational but also deeply moving, reflecting the trials and triumphs of Hanumant Kendre, the protagonist who leads the fight for water in his village.

Shankar Mahadevan shared his excitement about being part of the project: “When I was approached for this song, I instantly agreed.

The lyrics are rooted in emotions, combining struggle, hope, and triumph in a way that will connect with everyone. While recording the song, I was equally inspired, and I believe it will serve as motivation for anyone facing hardships.”

The film Paani boasts a stellar cast, including Adinath Kothare, Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, and Rajit Kapoor. The storyline, developed by Adinath Kothare and Nitin Dixit, highlights the collective effort of a village to overcome a severe water crisis.

The movie is produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with Neha Barjatya, the late Rajat Barjatya, and Dr. Madhu Chopra. Co-producers include Mahesh Kothare and Siddharth Chopra.

As anticipation builds, the release of the title track has heightened excitement for the film, which aims to inspire audiences with its message of community-driven solutions and resilience in the face of adversity.

With Paani set to release on October 18, fans are eagerly awaiting what promises to be an emotionally enriching cinematic experience.
