Through the trailer, Kangana successfully generated curiosity for the bigger picture. The trailer also shows glimpses of Jayalalithaa's love life and how she was treated for being a woman and a south Indian in the male-dominated profession.

With the powerful background score perfectly complementing the trailer, one can safely say that the fans are in for a visual treat. The movie that traces the personal and political journey of one of the most influential women in Indian politics has in the headlines ever since its inception.
