Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande set the floor on fire with their song Rain on me

To help you escape the coronavirus blues, hit pop singers, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, have released their new song titled Rain On Me. This is a track from Gaga’s sixth upcoming album Chromatica, which was scheduled for April 10 release but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now be out on May 29.

The three-minute song with purple and pink metallic hues and explosive music and beats will make you move, groove and jump instantly.

The video opens with a visual of Gaga wearing a pink bodysuit and high-heeled boots lying on the floor with a stab wound on her thigh while it rains. However, the rains alternate between raindrops and knives.

And just when we are taking in all this, Ariana in a lavender costume makes her appearance wearing her signature high ponytail but lets her hair down in the later part of the video. The duo joins hands and what follows is absolutely electrifying -- electronic-dance pop vocals and high-energy dance moves in this video which recreates a futuristic world.

The lyrics go:
I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive
Rain on me, rain, rain,
I can feel it on my skin (It's comin down on me)
Teardrops on my face (Water like misery)
Let it wash away my sins (It's coming down on me)
Let it wash away, yeah

In short, the video has a kind of a grand event feel to it, with top notch choreography, aesthetic sense that fits the cyberpunk definition and signature vocal styles from both the artists.
This is the first time that the 7 Rings singer Ariana and Lady Gaga have collaborated, and going by this song, fans are wondering why they didn’t do so earlier.

During a conversation with DJ Zane Lowe of Apple Music before the song was released, Gaga spoke about her album and how she wants to show how much she loves people and hopes that her fans can experience it through the music.
She also explained the joy when two artists get together to create music and spoke about Ariana and her friendship and how it has grown right from the recording to the release.

Ariana took to Twitter to express how she feel about the collab.

This is the second song from the album Chromatica to have been released after Stupid Love which released in February. The album seems to be Gaga’s return to pop music and a treat for all her little monsters. A few months back, Gaga did reveal that the album will feature collaborations with Elton John and K-Pop band Blackpink.

It’s safe to say that it has been raining songs recently, with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Sia and now Lady Gaga and Ariana releasing powerful and soulful tunes and giving us something to be happy about and take our minds off the COVID stress. All these tracks will be added to our playlist, and we will probably play these on loop as we sweep, mop and wash utensils while staying at home, staying safe.
