Initially, work-from-home (WFH) came as a much-awaited respite to daily commuters. With no hassle of waking up early, making it to the office on time, or worrying about catching the regular train. It all felt like our daily lives had hit the reset button.

But soon, the horrors of WFH were revealed, and people realised they had no stipulated working hours. The thin line between our work and personal lives was blurred, giving us little to no time for ourselves. Meeting were scheduled late at night, and lunches were compromised under the guise of 'you're at home, how are you not available?'.

Now the tables have turned, and people are desperately looking to take a break from their daily routines. While taking a break from work might not be possible, but with the easing of travel restrictions, people now have the choice to work from anywhere around the world.

And while you have the luxury to work from anywhere, why not make the most of it? The Bridge Chronicle picks five places where you can sit back and work (with a view!):

Nashik is known for its food and winery, and makes helps if you just want to rejuvenate!

Organic Farms, Dahanu

If an authentic farm stay appeals to you then Dahanu is the place to be. A small coastal town situated near Palghar, Dahanu is located just 110 km from Mumbai city. Eco-friendly, organic, and plastic-free, this stay is an ideal choice for all nature lovers.

Surrounded by rice paddies, banana farming, papayas and mangoes trees, the house makes for a perfect staycation. Work while you relax in the veranda, or attend a meeting, as you look over the lush green farms.

Treehouse, Anjuna, Goa

As kids, we have often come across the foreign concept of a treehouse, but ever wondered how is it to live in one?

As you 'work from home', here is something to experiment with: Because what could be better than enjoying the pristine beaches of goa while being cooped up in a quirky office?

Jungle Hut Trikon, Goa

If living up in a tree is not quite your style, then a well-grounded hut can also make for an excellent staycation.

Explore the uniqueness of living close to nature in a hut, in the depth of the jungles.

While the good days of WFH might not last a very long time, it is only that we use the luxury of working from such unique places. Before the rut of travel and office begins, take a break.
