10-Year-Old Girl Reveals Sexual Assault During School's Safety Awareness Program

Pune: A shocking incident of sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl by a 68-year-old man has surfaced during a "Good Touch, Bad Touch" awareness program in the Khadakwasla area of Pune.

After a recent incident of sexual assault on a young girl in Badlapur, protests were held across the state to condemn the act. Following this incident, reports of sexual abuse against women and young girls have been emerging from various parts of the state.

In the wake of the Badlapur incident, a "Good Touch, Bad Touch" awareness program was organized in a school in the Khadakwasla area of Pune to educate students, especially girls, on this sensitive issue.

During the program, a 10-year-old girl revealed that she had been sexually assaulted by a 68-year-old man. This disclosure caused an uproar in the Khadakwasla area.

The accused, Dilip Namdeo Mate, has been arrested. According to the police, the 10-year-old victim was on her way to school around 11 a.m. on Friday when the accused, Dilip Mate, lured her into a nearby room under the pretext of giving her money for snacks and then sexually assaulted her.

The victim did not inform anyone at home about the incident. The following day, when the victim attended school, a "Good Touch, Bad Touch" program was being held.

During the program, teachers interacted with each student, and it was then that the victim revealed the incident to her teachers. A complaint was lodged against the accused, Dilip Mate, at the Haveli Police Station.

The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is being conducted by the Haveli police.
