Pune: Students seeking admission to 11th grade have another opportunity as the special sixth round of applications is now open. The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department has announced that students can submit their online applications for this round by Saturday (September 21).

This round also extends eligibility to students who have availed the ATKT (Allowed to Keep Terms) benefit, giving them a chance to secure a seat.

ATKT students are required to enter their total marks out of 600 from their six subjects in the application form. New students who haven't yet registered can do so online, complete Part 1 of the application, and ensure it is verified by the respective authorities. A key step for all participants is to relock their preference forms, specifying their choices of colleges.

The window for submitting college preferences will close at 6 PM on Saturday, giving students only a short time to make their final selections. Following the submission of preferences, the process of preparing the merit list will commence on Sunday, September 22, and will continue through Monday, September 23.

On Tuesday, September 24, the education department will release the selection list. This list will indicate the colleges allocated to students, as well as which students have been granted admission to specific colleges. The cutoff marks for this round will also be announced on the same day.

Students selected in this special round will be required to confirm their admissions by Wednesday, September 25. This special round provides one last opportunity for students who have not yet secured admission or wish to seek better options, including those benefitting from ATKT.

The education department has emphasized that students need to be diligent about completing the admission process within the given deadlines to avoid missing out.
