21-Year-Old Kartik Passes Away in Sleep After Playing Cricket

On July 7, he went to play cricket with friends and became extremely exhausted. He returned home on his bike and went to his room to sleep.

Pune: In an era of relentless hustle, the unpredictability of life can strike tragically. A heart-wrenching incident has emerged from Ambegaon taluka, where a young man fell asleep after playing cricket with friends and never woke up. This incident has cast a pall of grief over the community.

The deceased has been identified as Kartik Vishnu Vidhate, aged 21. The incident occurred in Dhamani, a village in Ambegaon taluka. A case of sudden death has been registered at the local police station. The unfortunate event transpired around 3 PM on Sunday, July 7. Akshay Shivaji Vidhate reported the incident to the Pargaon police station.

According to the police, Karthik worked in the Bhosari area of Pune. He had returned to his hometown for work just two days before the incident.

On Sunday, he went to play cricket with friends and became extremely exhausted. Around 2:30 PM, he returned home on his bike and went to his room to sleep.

Half an hour later, Karthik’s mother, Alka Vidhate, went to wake him up but found him unresponsive. Sensing something was wrong, the family rushed him to a hospital in Pargaon via ambulance.

After initial examinations, he was moved to the sub-district hospital in Manchar, where doctors declared him dead before treatment could begin. Preliminary findings suggest he suffered a heart attack.

Karthik was the only son of the Vidhate couple. His sudden demise has left the family devastated. He is survived by his parents and grandparents. The entire Vidhate family is grappling with the immense loss of their young son.
