ADOPTECH 2024 Highlights Need for Technology Adaptation in Printing Industry

Pune: District Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase has called on professionals in the printing industry to stay ahead of the curve by embracing rapid technological changes.

Speaking at the 'ADOPTECH 2024' conference organized by the Pune Press Owners Association, Dr. Diwase stressed the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in an ever-evolving global landscape.

The conference, held on August 24, brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the latest innovations and challenges in printing technology.

Dr. Diwase pointed out that over the past two decades, the global adoption of technology has accelerated, compelling professionals across various fields to adapt to these changes.

He highlighted that the printing industry, in particular, is undergoing significant transformations that must be closely monitored by industry professionals.

He also emphasized the need to develop skills, maintain a thirst for knowledge, and stay connected with societal trends to thrive in the industry. Continuous learning, he said, is key to staying refreshed and up-to-date.

The conference also featured Rahul Marulkar, President of the Pune Press Owners Association, who provided insights into the latest technological advancements and the challenges facing the printing industry.

Anil Lamba, a business training expert, explained the importance of financial planning and the consequences of poor financial management, citing global business failures as a cautionary tale.

Additionally, Ramu Ramanathan, editor of PrintWeek, facilitated panel discussions on topics such as the impact of Indian machinery manufacturers' participation in the DRUPA exhibition in Germany and the benefits of foreign machinery for the printing industry.

Motivational speaker Priya Kumar urged professionals to adopt a modern mindset to achieve success in the rapidly evolving printing sector. She highlighted that many businesses fail to grow due to indecision and resistance to change.

Renowned speaker S.N. Venkataraman also provided valuable guidance on developments in the printing industry, including the paperboard and specialty papers business.
