Ajeenkya DY Patil University Appoints Dr. Rakesh Jain as New Vice Chancellor

Dr. Jain holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering, an ME in Town Planning, and a BE in Civil Engineering.

Pune: Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) has announced the appointment of Dr. Rakesh Jain as its new Vice Chancellor, effective August 2024. Dr. Jain, a distinguished veteran in the field of education, brings with him over 38 years of experience in academia and leadership.

Dr. Jain holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering, an ME in Town Planning, and a BE in Civil Engineering. His career has been marked by his contributions to transportation, geotechnical engineering, and town planning.

In addition to his extensive research and publications—comprising over 150 research papers and several authored books—Dr. Jain has also played a significant role in various state-level development committees.

In his new role, Dr. Jain expressed his enthusiasm for joining ADYPU, highlighting the university's commitment to impactful education and research.

My goal is to lead ADYPU into a new era of digital transformation, fostering an environment of innovation and inclusivity.
