Pune: Ajit Pawar, a key candidate representing the Mahayuti alliance (comprising NCP, BJP, and Shiv Sena), is set to file his nomination papers for the Baramati Assembly constituency on Monday, October 28.
Pawar's nomination is a highly anticipated event as he seeks another term in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
A grand procession is planned to mark the occasion, beginning at 10 AM from Baramati. Following the procession, Pawar will officially submit his nomination papers at the election office by 1 PM.
After completing the formalities, Ajit Pawar will launch his election campaign at Shri Kshetra Kanheri, where a public event is scheduled at 2 PM to kick off his campaign efforts.
Local leaders, including party observer Suresh Palwe, Taluka President Rajvardhan Shinde, and Election Representative Kiran Gujar, confirmed the schedule and preparations for the day’s events.
Maharashtra is set to go to the polls on November 20, and the results will be declared on November 23. As one of the most prominent candidates in the state, Ajit Pawar’s campaign launch will be closely watched.
Preparations for Ajit Pawar's campaign are in full swing in Baramati city, where campaign vehicles featuring his name are being readied. The vehicles urge voters to press the NCP’s clock symbol to secure Ajit Pawar’s victory in the elections.
In recent months, following the Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Pawar had hinted multiple times that he might not run for the assembly seat from Baramati, causing considerable anxiety among NCP supporters in the region.
