Pune: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Ali Daruwala has been appointed as a senate member on the governing council of Dr. P.A. Inamdar University, Pune.
In his new role, Daruwala will play a key part in overseeing the institution's governance, focusing on academic policies and strategic initiatives on behalf of the government.
His involvement is anticipated to enhance the university’s alignment with public policy and strengthen its regulatory framework.
Established in 2022 under the P.A. Inamdar University Act, the university is rapidly expanding and offers diverse programs in education, architecture, commerce, and pharmaceutical sciences.
Known for its focus on innovation, research, and quality education, the university aims to cultivate a culture of excellence through dedicated facilities and incubators.
In addition to his political contributions, Daruwala has a broad public service portfolio. He serves as an advisor to Ruby Hall Clinic, a renowned healthcare institution in Pune, where he assists with strategic planning and healthcare advancements.
His appointment to Dr. P.A. Inamdar University further showcases his leadership in both governance and public service. Furthermore, Daruwala will supervise policy decisions for Rangoonwala Dental College, ZVM Unani College and Hospital, and the Physiotherapy College.
His influence extends to the national level, where he acts as the national advisor to the Minority Commission of India in New Delhi.
