Assembly Elections: Pune Candidates to File Nominations in Their Constituencies

Pune: The process of filing nominations for 21 assembly constituencies in Pune district is set to begin on Tuesday, October 22. The candidates will have until October 29 to submit their nomination papers.

With elections scheduled for November 20, the district administration has already set up election offices in each constituency and appointed election officers to oversee the process.

In Pune city, there are eight constituencies, and deputy district officers will serve as election officers, while tehsildars have been appointed as assistant election officers for the different constituencies.

The schedule for the assembly elections has been released. After the nominations are filed by October 29, the scrutiny of these papers will be done on October 30.

The final date for candidates to withdraw their nominations is November 4, followed by the voting day on November 20. The counting of votes will take place on November 23.

To facilitate the nomination process, election offices have been established in key locations across the city. For instance, in Kasba Peth, the election office is located at the Ganesh Kala Krida Manch in Swargate, while in Shivajinagar, it is at the Sane Guruji Library on Ghole Road.

  • Wadgaon Sheri: Assistant Commissioner Office, Yerwada

  • Kothrud: Anusayabai Khilare School, Erandwane

  • Hadapsar: Vitthal Tupe Auditorium, Malwadi, Hadapsar

  • Khadakwasla: Sinhagad College Campus, Ambegaon Budruk
