Pune: A shocking turn of events unfolded in Baramati when a minor girl alleged that four students had gang-raped her. However, as the investigation progressed, it became clear that the girl had fabricated the entire story.

The dramatic saga unfolded on September 14, leaving authorities reeling and raising disturbing questions about the intentions behind the false allegations.

The girl, overcome with emotion, had dialed a local journalist, alleging that four students had brutally assaulted her. The news spread like wildfire, prompting swift action from Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dr. Sudarshan Rathod.

The seasoned officer sprang into action, racing to the scene to take the girl into custody and launch a thorough investigation.

As the probe deepened, inconsistencies began to emerge in the girl's testimony. Dr. Rathod's sharp instincts sensed something amiss, and he zeroed in on the truth. With the help of female officers, the girl's defenses began to crumble.

In a jaw-dropping confession, the minor admitted to concocting the entire story to settle a score with an old friend. Jealousy had fueled her vendetta, driving her to weave a web of deceit that threatened to destroy innocent lives.

The revelation sent shockwaves through the community, with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar demanding swift action. Authorities breathed a collective sigh of relief, grateful that the truth had been unearthed before irreparable damage was done.

"This was a sinister attempt to manipulate the system and destroy reputations," Dr. Rathod said. "We will not tolerate such malicious behavior."
