Salil Urunkar

Pune: Baramati City police have filed new charges against seven additional suspects for allegedly abusing two minor girls. These girls were previously reported to have been sexually assaulted by four men in Pune.

Now, as the case unfolds, the minors have named seven more individuals, raising the total number of accused in the case to eleven.

The latest suspects – Omkar Bharti, Om Kamble, Appa Shende, Akshay Madke, Suraj Indalkar, Sanskar Waghmare, and Shrenik Bhandari – have been charged under child sexual abuse laws.

Baramati City police have launched an active search to arrest these individuals. The police have not yet fully released their identities, pending further investigation.

The case originally came to light when two minor girls were abducted and sexually assaulted in Pune. Baramati city police swiftly acted on the matter and charged four men – Dnyaneshwar alias Dnyanesh Bharat Atole, Aniket Pramod Bengare, and Yash alias Sonya Shivaji Atole – for their involvement in the heinous act.

As the investigation into the initial assault progressed, the two victims provided additional testimony, revealing that seven more individuals from Baramati had also abused them. These offenses occurred before the Pune incident.

Based on this new information, the Baramati police have expanded their probe and filed fresh charges against the seven newly named suspects. Authorities are working to apprehend them as soon as possible.
