Pune: In anticipation of the upcoming Assembly elections, Yugendra Pawar, Treasurer of Vidya Pratishthan, is set to launch a 'Swabhiman Yatra' across Baramati taluka, starting on Tuesday (September 10).

The Yatra aims to connect with the residents of every village in the taluka, engaging with them to understand their challenges and concerns.

Yugendra Pawar, speaking to the media, shared that the Swabhiman Yatra would be carried out under the guidance and blessings of senior leader Sharad Pawar and Member of Parliament Supriya Sule.

Through this initiative, Pawar intends to disseminate the principles and ideologies of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Sharad Pawar, throughout the Assembly constituency. He reiterated a strong message of Maharashtra's unyielding pride, which has never bowed to Delhi and will continue to stand firm in the future.

This is not the first time Pawar has taken such an initiative; after MP Supriya Sule’s electoral victory, he conducted a gratitude tour in Baramati taluka, thanking the voters.

With increased visits and public engagements, Pawar has ramped up his efforts as the Assembly elections approach, and it is widely believed that he will be the candidate representing the Tutari (man blowing a trumpet) symbol. Although his candidacy has not been officially confirmed yet, all signs point to his selection as the party’s candidate.

The Swabhiman Yatra is seen as a strategic move to bolster Pawar’s visibility and connect with the grassroots, reinforcing the NCP’s message and commitment to the people of Baramati.

It also underscores the party's focus on maintaining Maharashtra's dignity and independence in the face of broader national political pressures.
