Pune: Baramati police investigations have revealed that a road incident that occurred over two weeks ago led to the tragic death of a 12th-grade student from Tulajaram Chaturchand (TC) College Baramati, after a violent altercation with a classmate.

The incident, which had began as a minor dispute on the road, spiraled out of control, culminating in a fatal attack on campus.

The two students, both classmates, reportedly had an argument 15 days ago after their bikes collided while they were riding. What started as a trivial incident quickly escalated into a heated confrontation, with both students threatening each other's lives.

The disagreement, which should have been resolved, festered over time, ultimately resulting in the tragic events that unfolded at the college.

On the day of the incident, the accused student, still harboring resentment from the prior altercation, came to the college armed with a knife. As soon as he spotted the victim, he launched a brutal attack, stabbing him multiple times.

The victim died on the spot due to the severity of the injuries, leaving fellow students and staff in shock. Despite efforts to rush him to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

In response to the growing concerns about student safety, a meeting was held at the Panchayat Samiti auditorium, where officials from the police and education sectors discussed measures to improve security at educational institutions.

Participants included Additional Superintendent Ganesh Biradar, Sub-Divisional Officer Vaibhav Nawadkar, and heads of several schools and colleges.

During the meeting, school heads were encouraged to foster a safer, more communicative environment for students and to ensure that any disputes are addressed promptly.

Vaibhav Nawadkar emphasized the importance of encouraging students to focus on their future and avoid conflicts. Alumni were also urged to share their success stories with students to inspire them to pursue positive paths.
