BJP Gears Up for Crowd Mobilization at PM Modi's Pune Rally

Shivraj Sanas

Pune: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken swift action to avoid any embarrassment at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming rally in Pune, following a disappointing turnout at Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s public event.

Gadkari had presided over the inauguration of several development projects in Karvenagar, but the lackluster attendance from BJP workers has put the party on high alert ahead of Modi’s visit.

In preparation for Modi’s rally, which will take place on September 26 at the S.P. College grounds, the BJP has assigned responsibility for crowd mobilization to key leaders, including MPs, MLAs, and senior party officials in Pune.

The party is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a successful show of strength, as the event is seen as a precursor to the upcoming assembly elections.

Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol has been holding regular meetings and closely monitoring daily updates on preparations. Party leaders from both state and city levels are involved in ensuring a large turnout.

Arrangements have been made to transport citizens to the rally from various parts of the city, with buses and other vehicles provided by the party. Officials are tasked with gathering names, phone numbers, and the expected number of participants to ensure smooth coordination.

The BJP has also tapped into WhatsApp groups to mobilize supporters, with party officials sending messages to citizens across Pune, urging them to attend Modi’s rally.

Several BJP leaders who are eyeing seats in the upcoming assembly elections are also using the rally as an opportunity to demonstrate their influence by bringing large contingents of supporters from their respective constituencies.

In addition to the rally, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Shivajinagar-Swargate underground metro line. After the inauguration, PM Modi is expected to travel on the newly inaugurated metro line to Swargate, before proceeding to the rally venue.
