Pune: As preparations for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 gain momentum, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has moved into the final stages of its campaign, introducing a new approach to its manifesto.

Instead of issuing traditional promises, the party plans to present an "Implementation Plan" for implementing its manifesto commitments. This strategic shift was announced by senior BJP leader and former MP Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe during a press conference, where he also invited citizens to contribute their suggestions to the party's manifesto.

Dr. Sahasrabuddhe emphasized the BJP’s track record of delivering on its promises under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Manifestos often contain mere assurances, but the BJP intends to go further by laying out a clear plan for execution. A 30-member committee has been formed to draft this implementation-oriented manifesto," he explained.

The Manifesto Committee comprises prominent leaders, including Sudhir Mungantiwar, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Madhav Bhandari, Advocate Ujjwal Nikam, Dr. Bharti Pawar, and Subhash Deshmukh, among others.

To encourage public participation, a special section has been added to the BJP’s official website, enabling citizens to submit their ideas and suggestions. Inputs can also be sent via postal mail.

In addition to the main committee, 18 sub-committees have been established to focus on specific issues. Advocate Ujjwal Nikam will lead efforts concerning law and order, while Madhav Bhandari will manage topics related to relief and rehabilitation.

Pasha Patel has been tasked with addressing agricultural and farmer-related concerns.

The party has also prioritized women’s safety and empowerment, with MP Smita Wagh leading the charge in that area. Dilip Kamble will oversee the social justice section, Shripad Dhekane will manage educational issues, and Laddaram Nagwani will address concerns related to senior citizens.
