BJP Leader Tanaji Divekar Accused of Molesting Pregnant Woman in Kedgaon

Pune: BJP leader and former president of Daund Taluka, Tanaji Divekar, along with his associate Sunil Khandale and an unidentified individual, has been accused of molesting a pregnant woman in an incident that took place in Kedgaon.

The case was filed at Yavat Police Station by the victim, a resident of Boripardhi, on Sunday (September 8).

According to the information provided by the police, the incident occurred in April when the complainant, who is expecting, visited a hospital in Kedgaon.

As she was leaving, her husband received a call from Tanaji Divekar. Shortly thereafter, Divekar, accompanied by Khandale and another unidentified person, arrived in an Innova car.

The group, including the complainant and her husband, proceeded towards the Kedgaon Police Chowky. During the ride, the complainant's husband suggested that they discuss the matter inside the vehicle.

As the complainant and her husband sat in Divekar's car, the accused allegedly molested the woman. The complainant has also alleged that Divekar issued threats, warning her and her husband that their limbs would be broken if they revealed the incident.

Assistant Police Officer Uttam Kamble is leading the investigation, which is still in the preliminary stages. The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with many calling for swift and stringent action against those involved.
