Neelam Karale

Pune: A fire broke out in a furniture warehouse located in the Chandan Nagar area on Nagar Road on Wednesday (August 7) morning. The fire brigade responded promptly, managing to control the blaze within half an hour. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the incident.

The warehouse, situated near Wagheshwar Parking in the Chandan Nagar toll booth area, was reported to the fire department by residents who noticed thick smoke billowing from the building.

Seven fire engines arrived at the scene, and firefighters immediately began efforts to extinguish the fire using water jets.

The burning furniture produced a large amount of smoke, making the task challenging. Despite this, the firefighters were able to bring the fire under control efficiently. Upon inspection, it was found that the warehouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Fire brigade station officer Subhash Jadhav led the team in their successful efforts to contain the blaze.
