Chatuhshrungi Devi Mandir to Reopen on September 29; New Recitation Initiative for Navratri

Pune: The much-anticipated reopening of the Shri Chatuhshrungi Temple has been delayed, causing some disappointment for devotees eager to visit the temple during the Navratri festival.

The temple, currently undergoing extensive renovation, was initially scheduled to open its doors for darshan on September 17. However, unforeseen complications in the restoration work have prevented this from happening.

Shrikant Angal, the executive trustee of the Shri Chatuhshrungi Devasthan Trust, confirmed that the temple will now reopen on September 29, just in time for Navratri celebrations.

Angal assured devotees that efforts are being made to complete the renovation as quickly as possible, ensuring that no further delays occur. The temple authorities aim to provide a refreshed and improved environment for worship once the doors reopen.

In addition to the reopening, the temple is introducing a new spiritual initiative this year during Navratri—the recitation of the Shri-Suktam hymns.

This initiative, designed to enhance the religious experience, will be open to both men and women devotees. Those interested in participating are encouraged to visit the temple office between 10 AM and 7 PM to register for the event.

The Shri Chatuhshrungi Temple, a popular religious site in Pune, draws thousands of devotees, particularly during the Navratri festival. The ongoing renovation aims to enhance the temple's infrastructure and preserve its heritage.

Despite the delays, the temple trust has assured devotees that all efforts are being made to ensure the temple is ready for the upcoming festival.

With the reopening set for September 29, devotees can look forward to an improved worship experience and the opportunity to partake in the special Shri-Suktam recitation program.
