Children with HIV Celebrate Diwali

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Engine Plant) and Yash Foundation jointly celebrated Diwali with HIV-positive children in Chakan (Khed).

Pune: Happiness is seen on everyone's face during Diwali. However, not everyone's Diwali is sweet. Every little person in the society, big and small, should be able to enjoy Diwali.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Engine Plant) and Yash Foundation jointly celebrated Diwali with HIV-positive children in Chakan (Khed).

On this occasion, 60 children were distributed Diwali snacks, sweets and gifts by the chief guest through Mahindra Company. They were also given the ingredients they need to make the food as well as the nutrition they need to keep their health healthy.

Mahindra Plant Head Sanjay Kshirsagar, Chanchal Medtia, Smita Pillai, 24 officials of the company and President of Yash Foundation Ravindra Patil were present on the occasion.

The support provided by Mahindra Company and Yash Foundation on Diwali every year is invaluable for us. We thank Mahindra Company and Yash Foundation for this," said the children and parents present at the event.

As many as 110 HIV-infected children and parents from Chakan, Manchar and Khed participated in the event.

Diwali is everyone's festival. Therefore, this small effort has been made by The Mahindra Company to ensure that the Diwali of HIV-infected people is equally happy. I am very happy to be a part of this unique Diwali event, said Sanjay Kshirsagar, Plant Head, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Chakan).

For children living with HIV, celebrating Diwali and the smiles on their faces are very pleasant. He also wished the children a happy Diwali. They should take care of their own health, said Ravindra Patil, President, Yash Foundation.
