Congress Complains of Violation of Model Code of Conduct

PMC has put up signboards with information about government schemes in the exhibition of forts held at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park.

Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has put up signboards with information about government schemes in the exhibition of forts held at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park.

Congress state vice-president Mohan Joshi has filed a complaint with the Election Commission seeking action against the officials concerned.

It has been more than 15 days since the Maharashtra Assembly elections were announced. Therefore, government schemes cannot be advertised.

The PMC has organised a fort exhibition at Sambhaji Park. At that time, there were advertisements giving information about government schemes.

Officials are reluctant to remove advertising billboards. Joshi has written to returning officer and district collector Suhas Divase, demanding action against the officials concerned.
