Shikrapur: Flats in Mayuri Garden, a housing project set up in 2014 at 0.43 gunthas in Wagholi (Tehsil Haveli), were sold to customers. However, the land purchased is not transferred.

This has left flat owners in the entire society in a state of panic. The report of Shivajirao Bhosale Cooperative Bank on October 4, 2024, which was hit by financial scams, found that the land area was confiscated.

The society is in a state of agitation. Ncp's Sharad Pawar party's Haveli taluka president Sandeep Gote demanded a high-level probe into the incident.

Some of the flat owners in the project, who did not wish to be named, said Gote, who was a former zilla parishad member and current NCP candidate in 2014, dnyaneshwar, Mauli Katke, Ravindra Jain, Ankush Parande and Pandharinath Katke are directors of Aryan Developers.

Through these developers, Pandharinath Katke, father of Dnyaneshwar Katke, built a housing project called Mayuri Garden on 0.43 gunthe land in Tat No. 1173 of Wagholi and sold its flats to customers.

All the families came to live in all the flats sold immediately. However, the land measuring 0.43 of the project, which should have been transferred to the society owners of the Mayuri project, is yet to be completed.

On the contrary, according to the report of Shivajirao Bhosale Cooperative Bank in Pune dated October 4, 2024, the society members and flat owners have found that the bank has confiscated the land.

All these flats were sold by misleading the customers. Meanwhile, the flat owners have also threatened to launch an agitation in the next election if the original land of these flats is not immediately in the name of the society.

Debt severance on related assets
Several agricultural lands owned and inherited by Dnyaneshwar Katke are being confiscated by Shivajirao Bhosale Co-operative Bank.

The recovery officer of the bank had ordered attachment of assets for recovery of loans only in 2014. Gote said. They are as follows: 0.73 R in Group No. 433, 0.52 R in Group No. 446, 0.06 R in Group No. 454, 0.43 R in Group No. 1173.

In all these developments, it has also been found that the outstanding debt is Rs 22 crore in the backdrop of the above confiscation proceedings.

Mayuri Society has flats of 1 RK, 1 BHK and 2BK and the cost of the flats sold is Rs 22 lakh, Rs 27 lakh and Rs 35 lakh respectively. However, there is a lot of anger from all the flat-owning families for using the original land for the project by giving only flats.

Gote also said that there is a feeling that we have been brought to the streets and are demanding a high-level inquiry into the matter immediately from the concerned government machinery.
