Deccan Literature Festival to be held on November 16, 17

Organisers have appealed to those interested in participating in the festival to register in advance on the institute's website.

Pune: Dakkhani Adab Foundation in Pune is organizing the 5th Deccan Literature Festival on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 at Balgandharva Rangmandir on Jangli Maharaj Road.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both days and will be open to all. The foundation has appealed to those interested in participating in the festival to register in advance on the institute's website.

This year, the festival will be inaugurated by veteran actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar at 11 am on Saturday. Administrative officer Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal and former president of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan Laxmikant Deshmukh will also be present on the occasion.

Giving more information about the festival, Jairam Kulkarni, Director of the Foundation said that like every year, this year, more than one great program, mushairas, interviews, seminars, drama and musical programs will be the attraction of deccan literature festival.

Through this platform, we have always strived to provide a platform for the art of renowned artists as well as budding artists to come to the audience.

Along with Marathi, we are trying to celebrate literature in Hindi and Urdu. This year, the audience will get a feast of literature, poetry, drama, seminars, musical programs, ghazals, mushairas along with well-known artists, said Monika Singh, coordinator of the festival.
