Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day: Railway Announces Special Pune-Nagpur Trains

Pune: To mark the occasion of Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day, the Central Railway has made special arrangements for devotees traveling to Nagpur by scheduling additional trains.

This annual event, which commemorates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's conversion to Buddhism along with millions of his followers, draws large crowds to Nagpur, particularly from cities like Pune.

One of the special trains running for the event is the Pune-Nagpur Special Train (Train No. 01216). This train will depart from Pune on October 11 at 4 PM and is expected to arrive in Nagpur by 6:45 AM the next morning. This service provides a convenient travel option for people attending the ceremonies and events scheduled in Nagpur.

In the return direction, Nagpur-Pune Special Train (Train No. 01215) will depart from Nagpur on October 12 at 11 PM and will reach Pune by 8 PM on October 13.

Both trains will make stops at key stations along the route, including Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Chandur, Badnera, Murtijapur, Akola, Shegaon, Nandura, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmednagar, and Daund on the chord line.

These special train services are expected to provide relief to the surge of travelers heading to Nagpur for the Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Day celebrations.

Indian Railways has often provided additional services for religious and cultural events, and this initiative continues the tradition of catering to large-scale public demand during significant gatherings.

Passengers are advised to book their tickets early to ensure availability, as these special trains are likely to see high demand.
