Dhangar Community Convenes in Pune to Decide Political Role Ahead of Elections

Organized by 'Sakal Dhangar Samaj,' activists, leaders of community who are united in their quest for social justice will participate in convention.

Pune: The Dhangar community is gathering today in Pune to decide on their political stance ahead of the upcoming elections and to push for the immediate implementation of Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservations.

The convention, organized by the 'Sakal Dhangar Samaj,' will see participation from educated youth, activists, and leaders of the community who are united in their quest for social justice.

The state-level convention is scheduled to take place today (10th) from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Memorial, Ganj Peth, Pune.

The convention will feature discussions by prominent leaders including Annasaheb Dange, OBC leader Prof. Laxman Hake, former Minister Datta Bharane, former MLA Prakash Anna Shendge, MLA Gopichand Padalkar, senior leader Uttamrao Jankar,

Advocate Dilip Edatkar, Narayan Aba Patil, Haribhau Bhade, Raje Bhushan Singh Holkar, Ramrao Wadkute, Ramhari Rupnavar, Anil Bhau Gote, Nana Bhau Kokare, Balasaheb Dodatle, Babasaheb Deshmukh, and Dr. Vikas Mahatme.

Various organizations, institutions, and social and political representatives from the community will engage in a thoughtful discussion.

The primary objective of this convention is to establish a concrete position on the immediate implementation of ST reservation for the Dhangar community.

Additionally, the convention will address issues of social justice, the community's grievances over neglect and deceit, and the unification of unorganized Dhangar community organizations for a collective struggle.

Decisions will also be made regarding the formation of a state-level coordination committee, the establishment of delegations, and the inclusion of non-political individuals such as young scholars, social workers, hunger strikers, and intellectuals.
