Pune: Dilip Khedkar, the father of ex-trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, faces increased legal troubles after a complaint was lodged against him at Bund Garden Police Station for obstructing official work.

Tehsildar Deepak Akade filed the complaint on Wednesday (August 7), prompting a police investigation.

The police have started investigating the complaint. It is anticipated that this complaint will add to Dilip Khedkar's troubles.

Puja Khedkar was appointed at the District Collector's office. During her training period, Khedkar demanded a separate office and put an amber beacon and a Maharashtra government plate on her vehicle.

A complaint about Khedkar's ostentation was made to District Collector Suhas Divase, who subsequently sent a report to the state government.

Dilip Khedkar pressured the staff to provide his daughter Puja with a separate office. Trainee officers are not typically provided with a separate office, staff, or office assistants. To ensure his daughter received these facilities, Dilip exerted pressure.

Tehsildar Deepak Akade filed a complaint at Bund Garden Police Station for obstructing official work. The two-page complaint is under investigation.

Akade was called to the police station on Wednesday to record his statement but could not attend due to work commitments, the police said.

It is alleged that Puja Khedkar had used a fraudulent address to obtain a disability certificate from Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital. The address she provided belongs to a defunct industrial company in Talawade, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and not a residential area.

Khedkar applied for the certificate by presenting a fake ration card and false address proof.
