Diwali Special Trains: 88 Extra Trips from Pune to Nagpur, Danapur, Sawantwadi

Pune: To accommodate the increased demand for travel during the Diwali season, the Indian Railways has announced special trains from Pune to several major destinations.

These trains will run on five key routes, including Pune-Nagpur, Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Pune-Danapur, Pune-Gorakhpur, and Pune-Sawantwadi Road.

A total of 88 trips will be made, ensuring that passengers can reach their destinations with ease during the festive season.

The special trains will operate from October 22 through November 12, 2024. Timings and routes have been strategically planned to cover major cities and towns along the way. Below are the details of each route:

Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Superfast Special:

This weekly superfast train will run from October 25 to November 1. It will depart from Pune every Friday at 5:30 PM and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin by 7:00 PM the next day.

The return journey from Hazrat Nizamuddin will be on Saturdays at 10:10 PM, arriving in Pune the following day at 10:30 PM. The train will stop at key stations such as Lonavala, Kalyan, and Surat.

Pune-Nagpur-Pune Superfast Weekly Special:

From October 26 to November 9, this weekly special will depart from Nagpur every Saturday evening at 7:40 PM, arriving in Pune by 11:25 AM the next day.

The train will leave Pune every Sunday at 3:50 PM, reaching Nagpur by 6:30 AM the next day. This route includes stops at Ahmednagar, Bhusaval, and Akola.

Pune-Danapur-Pune Special:

Running daily from October 25 to November 7, this train will connect Pune with Danapur. Departing from Pune at 3:30 PM, it will reach Danapur at 2:00 AM on the third day.

The return journey starts at 5:30 AM from Danapur, arriving back in Pune by 6:15 PM the next day. It will halt at various stations, including Jabalpur and Prayagraj.

Pune-Gorakhpur-Pune Special:

Scheduled from October 22 to November 11, this special will depart from Pune at 6:50 AM every day, arriving in Gorakhpur the next day at 4:00 PM. The return train will leave Gorakhpur at 5:30 PM and arrive in Pune by 3:15 AM on the third day. Key stops include Itarsi, Jhansi, and Lucknow.

Pune-Sawantwadi Road-Pune AC Special:

Operating from October 22 to November 12, this weekly AC special will leave Pune every Tuesday morning at 9:35 AM and reach Sawantwadi Road by 10:30 PM.

The return journey will start at 11:25 PM on Wednesdays from Sawantwadi, arriving in Pune by noon the next day. It will stop at important stations, including Ratnagiri and Kankavli.
