Drug-Free Society is Need of the Hour

Suman Psychiatry and De-addiction Centre organized the event in Alephata.

Belhe: "Building an addiction-free society is the need of the hour and addiction is a way to escape from reality. In the meantime, it is necessary to think wisely to keep the mind pure."

Nandkumar Mulmule was speaking at a event organised under the mental health awareness campaign 'Mann Sudh Tujhe' at Alephata (Junnar).

Suman Psychiatry and De-addiction Centre Alephata organized the event in the premises of Anantrao Kanse Medical College in Alephata.

On this occasion, Senior Physician of Psychology Pankaj Vasadkar, Director of Suman Psychiatry and De-addiction Center Psychiatrist Dr. Dr. Nikhil Kanse; Dr. Yogeshri Kanse; Dr. Chandrakant Kanse; Saraswati Kanse, Principal; Kamlesh Gholap was present. Pankaj Vasadkar played the role of coordinator of the event.

In this chat, Dr. Manoj Kachle, Advocate Sanjay Tembhe, Vaishali Deokar, journalist Arjun Shinde, Nitin Shelar and others participated.

Dr. Nandkumar Mulmule said, "The responsibility of the media is important to build a drug-free society. The media should not give addiction a reputation. It is also important to take note of the work of de-addiction centres.

Meanwhile, the prevalence of addiction among the younger generation is increasing due to easy availability, irrational thinking and social fear."

Sadanand Raut and Dr. Pallavi Raut and senior citizen Narayan Kurhade were felicitated by the organisation.

Dignitaries from the medical and social sectors, a large number of citizens and students were present on the occasion. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Yogeshri Kanse, Pragya Soman hosted and thank you Dr. Mandar Dumbre did.

Addictions have led to an increase in the number of fights and divorces. As the family system changes, it's affecting relationships.

Getting treatment to quit an addiction can help resolve addictions. Medication is not the only solution, it requires counseling and therapy, said Dr. Nikhil Kanse, psychiatrist.
