Pune: In a shocking incident, a drunken truck driver caused widespread destruction after ramming his truck into a hotel in a fit of rage. The incident took place late at night in Indapur, Pune district, along the Pune-Solapur highway.

The driver's violent actions were reportedly triggered when the hotel owner refused to serve him food as the establishment had already closed for the day.

The incident unfolded near Hingangaon, where the truck driver stopped at a roadside hotel seeking a meal. Upon being told that the hotel was closed for the night, the driver, already intoxicated, lost his temper.

In a reckless and dangerous outburst, he drove his large truck directly into the hotel premises, causing severe damage to the structure. Tables, chairs, walls, and even the kitchen area were heavily impacted by the crash.

The mayhem didn’t end with the hotel. Several vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, parked near the hotel, were also caught in the truck driver’s rampage.

The driver rammed into these parked vehicles, damaging them beyond repair. Eye-witnesses at the scene, shocked by the scale of the destruction, quickly recorded the entire incident on their mobile phones. Within hours, the video of the incident began circulating widely on social media platforms, further drawing attention to the driver's reckless behavior.

Despite the significant material damage caused by the rampaging truck, it is reported that no one was injured in the incident. Hotel staff and customers had already vacated the premises by the time the truck plowed into the building. However, the financial toll of the damage to both the hotel and the vehicles is expected to be substantial.

Local authorities arrived promptly at the scene, taking the intoxicated truck driver into custody. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the truck driver was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
