Eid-e-Milad Procession in Pimpri: Check Traffic Diversions on September 19

Pimpri: In celebration of Eid-e-Milad, a grand procession will be held on Thursday (September 19), starting from the Jamate Latifiya Mosque in Milindnagar and concluding at PMP Grounds near Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk in Pimpri.

The procession will be a significant event for the Muslim community, with participants joining from areas such as Chikhali, Nehrunagar, Wakad, Bhosari, Nigdi, Kasarwadi, and Kalewadi.

Following the procession, a sermon will be held at PMP Grounds, and a large gathering of Muslim devotees is expected to attend. Organizers are preparing for thousands of attendees, as the event holds religious and cultural significance for the community.

In anticipation of the crowd and potential traffic congestion, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have announced several traffic restrictions and diversions. The affected routes and traffic adjustments will be in place from 2 PM on Thursday afternoon until midnight.

Traffic Restrictions and Alternate Routes:

  • The service road from Mahavir Chowk, Chinchwad, to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk will be closed, and vehicles will be rerouted via the D-Mart Grade Separator.

  • Service road traffic from Nashik Phata to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk will also be closed, with vehicles redirected via Dairy Farm Grade Separator and HP Petrol Pump Kharalwadi Grade Separator.

  • Traffic from the late Indira Gandhi Bridge to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk will be closed, and motorists can use Morwadi Chowk as an alternate route.

  • Vehicles traveling from Nehrunagar Chowk to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk will be diverted via Corner Bus Stop and Masulkar Colony.

  • Jai Malhar Khanawal Samrat Chowk to Morwadi Chowk traffic will be rerouted through Samrat Chowk, Auto Cluster, and Mother Teresa Bridge to Basaveshwar Chowk.

  • Vehicles on the Science Park to Morwadi Chowk route will be redirected via Auto Cluster, Mother Teresa Bridge, and Basaveshwar Chowk.

  • Traffic from Croma Showroom to Gokul Hotel will be diverted via Croma Showroom to Pimpri Bridge and Bhatnagar.

  • Finally, the Pimpri Chowk to late Indira Gandhi Bridge route will be closed, with vehicles redirected via Morwadi Chowk to Pimpri Bridge and Bhatnagar.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid disruptions.
