In addition to traditional campaigning, candidates are reaching out to voters online.

Baramati: Painted walls, corner meetings, emphasis on face-to-face meetings, rickshaws campaigning with constant slogans, such an atmosphere was seen when elections came a few years ago. However, as times have changed and technology has increased, elections are also becoming hi-tech.

The problem of time is in front of everyone as the times are fast. Therefore, with the help of technology, social media seems to be the most used in this election to convey their ideas to the voters. In addition to traditional campaigning, candidates are struggling to reach out to voters online.

In the last few years, with smartphones and fast internet in everyone's hands, all political parties seem to have adopted the technique of campaigning through mobile.

This year, campaigning is being given the highest importance on social media in the assembly elections. Since social media is seen as a medium to reach out to every voter effectively, political parties are also focusing on campaigning through this medium.

Activists have also started using Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp with ease, from political parties to taking their own goals to the people and taking on the opposition parties.

In the past, it was difficult to convey a message to people if they were asked to hold a sudden meeting or event. Now, through village-wise WhatsApp groups, everyone can reach everyone in a few minutes through personal messages.

Pamphlets are printed and distributed door-to-door today. However, every day through mobile phones, the workers seem to be conveying different information to the voters very easily. The effective use of social media by political parties as well as independent candidates is evident in this election.

Reels, a flurry of memes
After opening any website, viewers in that area get to see advertisements of candidates in that area, while voters are being appealed through voice recording.

Even if you don't see it directly, when you go to social media, the election fever is clearly felt. Reels, memes, audio and videos are currently flooded.

The Election Commission is not far behind.
Technology seems to be being used effectively not only in the candidate but also in the administration. The election machinery has also worked hard to make all the information available in one click.

From finding the name in the voter list to the polling station and other ancillary information, all the information is easily available through the app.
