Extortion Case Filed Against Pramod Jadhav in Malegaon

Police registered a case against the suspect Pramod Jadhav for extortion and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him

Pune: A private member of the Consumer Protection Council in Malegaon Budruk (Baramati taluka) has been accused of demanding four lakh rupees in extortion by fabricating a false complaint alleging unnatural relations with a minor nephew.

The incident, which occurred between May 3rd and July 31st, 2024, involved coercion and creating a semi-nude video of the minor.

In this matter, Abhijit Samptarav Shinde (age 30, resident of Dandwadi, Supe, Baramati taluka) has lodged a complaint against private member Pramod Manasing Jadhav (resident of Malegaon Budruk) at the Malegaon police station.

"Pramod Jadhav took our minor nephew to the office at Madhura Residency in Malegaon, coerced him into writing a false complaint alleging unnatural relations, and made a semi-nude video of the incident on a mobile phone."

Based on this false complaint and video, Jadhav demanded four lakh rupees in extortion from me. Jadhav accepted an extortion amount of 25,000 rupees Wednesday (July 31). He also defamed my minor nephew," Shinde mentioned in his complaint.

Based on the available complaint, the police registered a case against the suspect Pramod Jadhav for extortion and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him. The investigation is being conducted by Inspector Khatawkar.
