Mumbai: In a major step toward improving customer service, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has launched a new system that allows passengers to directly lodge complaints with the depot managers in case of any issues during their bus journey.

This initiative aims to provide prompt solutions to passengers' problems and enhance the overall travel experience on MSRTC buses.

To implement this system, MSRTC has placed the contact numbers of the depot manager, station master, and workshop superintendent behind the driver's seat on all MSRTC buses.

This will allow passengers to immediately contact the relevant officials if they encounter any issues such as over-speeding by the driver, the driver using a mobile phone while driving, rude behavior by the conductor, or if they were not dropped off at the correct location.

In the past, MSRTC buses displayed the contact numbers of the relevant depot and station, but over time, these numbers became faded or difficult to locate. As a result, passengers often faced confusion regarding where to report their concerns.

With this new system in place, passengers can now easily find the contact information they need and can expect a swift response to their complaints. MSRTC officials have emphasized that the goal of this initiative is to resolve issues as quickly as possible to ensure a smoother and more comfortable journey for passengers.

The MSRTC has also made an appeal to passengers, urging them to take advantage of this system and report any problems they encounter during their journey by calling the displayed numbers. The administration hopes that this move will help in maintaining high standards of service and accountability.
