Pune: In Moshi’s Borhade Vasti area, a lawyer assaulted a man by throwing chutney in his eyes and hitting him on the head with a helmet. The incident occurred on Sunday night at 11 PM when the two met in the parking area of the complainant’s residence.

Sudarshan Baburao Kalve, aged 33, filed a complaint at MIDC Bhosari Police Station against lawyer Vishal Bhimrao Parve, aged 34. According to the police report, the dispute originated from Kalve’s phone conversations with Parve’s fiancée. The lawyer, unhappy with Kalve’s communication with his fiancée, confronted him on Sunday (October 13) night.

The police disclosed that Vishal Parve, whose marriage is arranged, went to Kalve’s residence and called him down to the parking area for a confrontation.

An argument ensued, during which Parve used offensive language and threatened Kalve, saying, “I am a lawyer; I will trap you in a case.”

He then assaulted Kalve by throwing chutney in his eyes and hitting him on the head with a helmet, causing injuries. Assistant Police Inspector Patil is currently leading the investigation into the matter.

Recently, a lawyer had allegedly kidnapped the father of his friend over an unresolved financial dispute. The lawyer, identified as Nitin Mhaske from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was arrested after the victim’s family lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station.

Another lawyer Advocate Amol Anantrao Patil was booked for deceiving a man who sought legal assistance in purchasing a flat. The complainant, 62-year-old Farukh Mehboob Shaikh, claims that Patil took ₹5.34 lakh in exchange for providing legal services related to the property purchase, but failed to deliver on his promises.
