Finance Manager Slain in Midnight Attack: Back-to-Back Killings in Pune Raise Alarm

Pune: In a shocking incident, a finance company manager was brutally murdered in Pune's Hadapsar area at midnight.

The victim, identified as Vasudev Kulkarni, was attacked with a sharp weapon by unknown assailants while taking a late-night walk near his home. The murder has instilled fear among residents in the area.

This incident comes just hours after the fatal shooting of former Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Vanraj Andekar. The back-to-back killings within 12 hours have sent shockwaves through Pune, raising serious concerns about public safety.

Police were quick to respond, arriving at the scene to launch an investigation. Kulkarni, a well-known manager at a renowned finance company in Pune, was targeted while walking in front of his residence. The assailants fled immediately after the attack, prompting authorities to heighten security in the vicinity.

Investigators have begun combing the crime scene, but no arrests have been made yet. However, several suspects have been detained for questioning.

The motive behind Kulkarni's murder remains unknown, and police are actively searching for the perpetrators while reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area.

The murders in Hadapsar and Nana Peth have ignited demands from the public for immediate and decisive action to tackle the rising crime in Pune.
