Fursungi: Young Woman Murdered, Body Kept Under Bed

The deceased has been identified as Swapnali Umesh Pawar (24).

Pune: In a shocking incident, a young woman, who was alone in her house, was murdered and her body kept in a bed cupboard in Fursungi area.

The deceased has been identified as Swapnali Umesh Pawar (24), a resident of Hundekari Basti near Ashtavinayak Colony, Fursungi.

Her husband is a car driver. They had gone to Beed with the passengers around 5 am on Friday. When they returned around 8 pm, the house was locked from outside.

After opening the door, they searched as the wife was not seen in the house. While searching for jewellery, cash and his wife's mobile phone, they opened the wooden bed cupboard and found the body.

They then contacted the police control room. Assistant police inspectors Nanasaheb Jadhav and Vinod Pawar, who were patrolling night shifts, rushed to the spot.

Senior police inspector Mangal Modhve of Fursungi police station visited the spot. A forensic expert and a dog squad were called to the spot, but police are yet to receive any leads.
